DRIVING FROM DOLORES HIDALGO

 The exit from Dolores Hidalgo to Guanajuato in on the northwestern corner of the city, Route 110. Take this road all the way to Guanajuato. The road between Dolores Hidalgo and Guanajuato is curvy, but very beautiful. Please drive carefully. It will take you about 40 minutes to an hour to arrive to Guanajuato. 

You will see Guanajuato off to your left just before you begin the descent into the city. (Great photo op!) At the bottom of the hill turn left, following the signs to Centro and passing the Hotel Castillo Santa Cecilia on your right. Go straight, passing the glorieta with the fountain in it, until you come to a tunnel on your right. The signs will say Silao/Irapuato. Take this tunnel. On the other side, go straight down the hill. At the bottom of this hill, bear right onto the main road. You'll go through another glorieta, past the frog statues on your left, past the large park, etc. You are now leaving central Guanajuato and heading towards Marfil. 

In about a mile you'll see a large overpass/bridge. Stay in the right-hand lane following the signs to Marfil/Noria Alta. At the Y in the road bear left. As you pass the restaurant Los Santos on your left and a reservoir on your right you'll go over the first set of speed bumps. Start counting speed bumps. After you go over the third set of speed bumps turn left into our driveway (just past the restaurant Hacienda de Marfil, Chez Nicole). There is a sign that says La Ex-Hacienda La Trinidad. Go through the arched entrance with ivy hanging over it, straight ahead to the B&B. Please park considerately. If the gates at the entrance are closed, buzz us on the interphone to the right of the gate and we'll open them up for you.
