January is a beautiful month for travel in Rajasthan.  The weather is

ideal (45º- 75º), this is not monsoon season, and insects are few.

Rajasthan, literally the “Land of Kings”, is an exuberant desert state in

west central India, that is bursting with color. We will ride camels in the

Thar Desert, stay in palace hotels and explore imposing forts. Rajasthan’s

folk art is an integral part of the towns and homes we visit. This state is famous

for its beautiful textiles with brilliant splashes of color -- dashing turbans

standing out in a crowd, women resplendent in their elaborately decorated

costumes, and the wealth of jewelry set in silver and gold.

Come with us and experience Rajasthan of yesteryear!  Indian cuisine in all

of its diverse flavors, bewildering assortments of fabric, carpets, paintings,

weavings, and jewelry wait for  you in every village and town.

The tour price includes all transportation and entrance fees in India, accommodations,

meals, and meal tips. It does not include airfare to and from India, alcoholic

beverages, hotel tips, room service, laundry, telephone charges, or independent

excursions. On past trips, the group has given a gratuity to our driver and his helper.

Cost of this Indian tour is US $6,750 double occupancy. Single supplement is $1,700.

Continental Airlines flies daily and direct to New Delhi from Newark, New Jersey.
